Welcome to Tunnel Lake Trading Post and Motel
The Tunnel Lake Trading Post and Motel is located on Highway 129, north of the Trans Canada highway 17, 25 minutes north from either Iron Bridge or Thessalon will put you at our door and the gateway to the beautiful Mississagi Valley.
It has been said that the Trading Post has “Everything you need and most of what you want”. There are endless opportunities for fun and adventure in any season throughout the Mississagi Valley. Summer months are filled with world class fishing, hiking, biking, climbing and off road adventures. Winter months bring ice fishing and snowmobiling opportunities.
There is ample opportunity for hunting in the fall starting mid-August with the Black Bear hunt. We cannot forget about Ontario’s own Tail of the Dragon highway 129 as it runs north from the Trading Post. Motorcyclist’s flock to the highway all summer to enjoy the amazing views as the highway follows the mighty Mississagi River.
Motel Rooms
We are happy to say that the motel has undergone an extensive renovation throughout the summer of 2022. We have four fully renovated rooms and four partially renovated rooms available.
There are 7 studios with two double beds and a full kitchenette. We have one room set up as a one bedroom which has three double beds in the bedroom portion. All rooms are serviced with high speed Wi-Fi and satellite TV. We have also added a brand new dining gazebo including a propane grill for our motel guests.

Historic Camp One
Escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life and camp off-the-grid secluded by nature.
About
Camp One, located on the Little White River, is a historic camp that was the first of its kind to be built by the logging enterprises moving up the river. It’s an entirely off-grid camp, please note that there is no cell coverage at the camp, offering an opportunity for guests to disconnect and immerse themselves in nature.
Access to the camp is available 24/7 via an ATV-only trail. There is also a road suitable for full-size trucks, which is open six days a week. Please be aware that the gate on the road is locked and is not accessible from sundown Friday evening to sundown Saturday evening. This is non-negotiable.
